Based on his award-winning stand-up show, and the loss of his own mother when he was 12, Matt Okine's coming-of-age novel, Being Black ‘n Chicken & Chips, is a funny, heart-warming, and sometimes surreal look at how young people deal with grief, the loss of loved ones, and becoming an adult - all whilst desperately trying to fit in with the other kids.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase thanks to Better Read Than Dead Bookstore, and Matt will be signing copies on the day. Every sale of the book will contribute to National Breast Cancer Foundation. This is a free event, no bookings required.

Books will be on sale thanks to Dymocks Sydney, and Matt will be available to personalise and sign your copies at the conclusion of the event.
Courtyard bar opens at 6:00pm for a 7:00pm start. Pop in before the show for a drink and a mingle!
Giant Dwarf is a licensed venue. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
